I found the whole set-up to be rather ridiculous. Why go through all the lengths of sucking a sci-fi story from yer thumb when you could as easy set the story in the middle ages somewhere in Europe.
You could have done without the silly intro on the starship and concentrate on the real story.

A good story. A little slow to start. It is more than just sex scenes. The characters were 3-D and the plot didn't follow a formula (9/10)

The idea is original, with some surprising twists in the plot. But there are a few disturbing illogicies, and the basic idea of the second half is well-known from many other stories. The writing could be tightened a little bit. Nevertheless a fine, entertaining piece to read. (7/10)

This would have made an excellent short story, unfortunately that is not what it is. I do not come here for my science fiction fix either, for obvious reasons. (6/10)
