It is now more than 2 years since this story was posted and there has been no sequel, so I guess it has to be judged on its own merit now and not as a scene-setter. As a scene-setter, it is excellent - well written, good characterization and a nice build-up. It's a real shame there does not appear to be a Part 2, as this leaves a very promising start in limbo. (7/10)
