liked the story, my only wish is that you had choosen out of respect to those currently serving us, a different location, the Iraq/Iran location hits way to close to home at this present time (7/10)

I always like exotic/historic settings, but the author doesn't make much of an effort to set the scene here. Nor is much of an attempt made at characterization. And there are a number of errors that prove once again (if anyone still needs to be convinced) that you just can't trust your proof-reading to those undiscerning spell-checkers:
"were stripped to the waste." "with each violet movement" "un-swallowed seaman" etc.
All that being said, I hope the author continues but that he, um, tries to get inside the characters a little more.
