Nice start. Quite a lot of back story there, still kind of enthralling. I can't wait to read the next part. The action that is there is pretty good I just wish there were more of it. (8/10)

Unlike the previous reviewer, I'm not high on the seemingly infinite series of digressions. Otherwise good, and you chose a good cliff-hangerly place to quit. (8/10)

- I love a good back story, but Curtis raises a good point - need it be rolled out at pivotal points in the story? Just as we think we are about to bite into something juicy, we get... A history lesson.
You stoke the fire, then abandon the bellows.
Luckily, I've an imagination that's easily stoked. Even so, Curtis raises a valid point.
But do not let this stop you continuing to add to this story, Nephthys! I'm on tender hooks wanting to know what happens in the next chapter.
