Weird that so far "Submission" didn't get any comments.
Didn't leave one yet, as I promised myself (a promise I broke just a moment ago on J. Lewis' latest story "J") to avoid being the first reviewer on J's stories, since it seems that folks are a touch reluctant to commit a word of thanks after I left a note... maybe just a coincidence, who knows.
Anyway, I found "Submission" to be quite good, albeit a touch unbalanced. Unbalanced because of the difference in feel between the chapters. The latter are so different in tone and setting that they could pass as stand-alone shorts.
But the whole is quite good, nevertheless, as the chapters mark different stops in the transition of Jodi, the main character.
The fourth chapter has some nice touches added, like letting some subs come up with ways of "entertaining inflictions" to be performed on Jodi for the pleasure of the guests...
Nice.
