Like the first chapter detailing with new laws to control women. Story suffers from things moving far to fast with women essentially being completely subjugated from the start. A gradual approach would have been more interesting. As a previous reviewer stated if everything is permitted nothing is exciting. A gradual tighten of the screws would have been more exciting. (6/10)

A thoughtful, well-developed foundation for a story that borders on believable (not that that's important here) but it seems like a history lesson so far. Hopefully it will become more personal as the story continues. (8/10)

Quite decently and thoughtfully put together, but it is perhaps too early to form an opinion, after just an introduction. I like the detail put into the setup, but the main problem with an entire society set up like this is that transgressive misogny no longer exists. The tension between the protagonists' internal world and the external world is missing, and since anything goes, nothing is exciting. In some ways this piece is an entry in the domestic drudgery/slavery genre championed by CRUDEDUDE (as carried by this site). Overall, I look forward to seeing where it goes- and how the female characters psychologically react to their subjugation. (8/10)

Interesting scenario that has been well developed.
However I felt the language on the occassion of the police beating the women was inappropriately coarse. It did not fit with the persona of the narrator. (7/10)

I realize that almost everything posted on this site is in some way or another a fantasy, so I won't quibble with all the laws and other ridiculous things that are allowed in this strange country. However it is so one-sided and bleak that I'm not at all interested in what happens to the narrator, because my imagination does have limits. The writing is more than adequate and the background is filled with much more detail than most would want. The story should draw an audience, but this reader is getting off at this stop. In passing, my rating eschews the word enjoyable. (6/10)
