This is sufficiently different from the usual bill of fare to merit another look once more is added to this very well written opening. This initital rating is more a bookmark than anything else.
Kath's story is just too unbelievable for this reader. I cannot imagine anyone carrying 150 percent of his weight any distance in sand, or being totally taken over in a matter of seconds as this fellow was. The story still has a high degree of novelty and will likely develop a devoted following, minus this reader. (7/10)

Very nice beginning Hinzelmann... What's great about this story so far, is all the extreme activity, that most authors use to sell a story, isn't in this one. This story stands alone soley on content. It's very well written. I can't wait to read more from this author. (9/10)
