A slow start, as already stated, with rather poor editing which made for stilted reading, also commented on. However if more chapters were to follow i would expect to up my rating. (7/10)

What in the world is that capital 'A' with the little thingy over it, and what is it used for? A lot of 'Britishisms' (natural, considering the source), but it got better as it went along. The ending flabbergasted me, as well, and it explains a story code I was wondering about. Pretty good story. Should have had more reviews by now (which is why I'm adding mine; that, and I want to find out about that 'A'). (8/10)

This might be a little slow for to begin with for some readers. I didn't mind this. I rather enjoyed it. - Quite a few sentences read a little awkwardly to me, and a few times I felt ‘extra words’ cluttered your story a little. e.g. ‘…the short international hops so common in Europe than flying.’ I think you either need to drop ‘than flying’ or move it to another part of the sentence. Please bear in mind I'm no expert on these matter, that's just my opinion. - The ending, well what can I say? It hit me out of no where and left me with a big grin on my face. I thought it was extremely clever and well done. To those reading this and wondering what just what exactly I’m talking about - read it for yourselves. (7/10)
